Are Electrical Certifications
important when purchasing a sauna?
Yes. Very Important. Electrical certification assures you that the sauna has been tested to meet safety and performance standards. For most consumers, electrical certification is taken for granted. Often times many consumers do not even think about or look to see if a product they are about to purchase displays a safety agency mark. But, without a safety agency listing, there is no proof that a product passes electrical and safety standards.

ETL AND ETL-C Safety Certified
Electrical Testing Laboratories (ETL) was founded in 1896 by Thomas Edison, and is one of the oldest product safety testing laboratories in the world. Certification by ETL and ETL-C assures you that all Signature models have been tested to meet both US and Canadian safety and performance standards.

CE Certified
The CE Mark is a requirement for products sold to the European Market. The CE Mark identifies a product as complying with the health and safety requirements spelled out in European legislation and is mandatory for equipment operating in the European Union (EU).

TUV Certified
An electrical product bearing the North American TUV Listed mark signifies that it was tested and meets the minimum requirements of prescribed product safety standards. The mark indicates that the manufacturer's production site conforms to a range of compliance measures and is subject to periodic follow-up inspections to verify continued conformance.

EMC Certified
This Mark incorporates European, Japanese, U.S. and Australian electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements and provides an easily identifiable declaration that a product meets the EMC regulations of these markets. The International "emc-Mark" provides visible proof to regulatory officials of your commitment to quality, along with compliance with the EMC directive.

C-Tick Certified
Before a product covered by the EMC regulatory arrangements can be sold in Australia it must be tested to applicable standards and labeled. The label comprises a C-Tick mark and a unique supplier identification. The C-Tick mark is intended for use on products that comply with EMC standards. The C-Tick mark is a certification trademark registered to the ACA by the Trademarks Office and is only to be used in accordance with conditions laid down by the ACA (Australian Communications Authority).

RoHS Certified
The RoHS Directive stands
for "the restriction of the use of certain hazardous
substances in electrical and electronic equipment". This
Directive bans the placing on the EU market of new electrical
and electronic equipment containing more than agreed
levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE)
flame retardants.

UL Certified
This is one of the most common UL Marks. If a product carries this Mark, it means UL found that representative samples of this product met UL's safety requirements. These requirements are primarily based on UL's own published Standards for Safety.

samples of your product and determined that they meet
ULC's requirements. These requirements are based primarily
on ULC's published and nationally recognized Standards
